I saw this bird this morning in DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst, NJ. Is this a Tjiftjaf? Any ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks!

As far as I can tell, only one Common Chiffchaff has been recorded in North America, and that was on St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea.  You never know what could happen, but it's better to think of possible local birds first, if you don't mind some advice.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, I hear chiffchaffs all the time in movies set in the US! ?

Common Chiffchaff is a very rare but probably regular spring and fall migrant to western AK.

Thanks, seems I was careless with eBird.  There are several records from Gambell and from Utqiagvik (formerly Barrow).  And good heavens, I know one of those people!
