Vulgaris
Hi all! I’m hoping someone might be able to give me a lead on these feathers found together on the forest floor in central PA, September 27th. There aren’t many black and white birds around except downy woodpecker at the moment. Thanks for any suggestions
gpoole
Welcome to the Whatbird Community. I would guide you to a site called "The Feather Atlas". I think you are on the right track. Your feathers may have belonged to a Red-bellied Woodpecker. I am not an expert.
