armada68
Hello everyone! Today's "menu" is this. First two pics were taken on 08-27-2022 at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn New York. Question is, is that a Common Yellowthroat or Yellow Breasted Chat (it's been around at the cemetery). That white arcs are very, very confusing. And the third pic is also from Green-Wood Cemetery, it was taken on 09-08-2022. Thank you all!
Jerry Friedman
I bet the first one is a Common Yellowthroat with his black mask coming in. The second... warbler, no field marks... no, wait, it has a faint eyeline and yellow undertail coverts... I'm saying Orange-crowned Warbler. Corrections may be on the way. Kevin
Common Yellowthroat, and Black-throated Blue, I think.

armada68
Thanks for Common Yellowthroat, i kind of knew it, but was hoping for Chat. Warbler, i dont think is Blue Throat, doesn't have white patch
Kevin
Honestly I just can't see this as an Orange-crowned, but Black-throated Blue does really not fit either.

Jerry Friedman
Thanks, @The Bird Nuts, @Connor Cochrane@IKLland, and @Peromyscus. So how should I have recognized the second yellowthroat? Paler throat, plumage not dark enough overall?
