Sorry, barely looked at the picture before making a quick guess. Looks a lot better for Blackpoll. Having had quite some experience with Blackpoll, this feels better for Blackpoll because of the streaking amount and pattern, but could be wrong. AlexHenry Posted October 6, 2022 Share Posted October 6, 2022 Personally I wouldn’t call a vagrant warbler off pics like this unless I saw it better in the field. Blackpoll seems right but the picture is unsatisfying to me for ruling out other options. Field identification is important for this reason. When photos are good using them for identification is good.
