Least Sandpipers, (Colorado)?

Recommended Posts

The front bird has a very wide prominent white eyebrow and has long pp. This bird does have a pale bill base. WRSAs can be rather buffy, and look rather scaly when fresh. I could definitely be wrong, but in my opinion, the front bird is White-rumped and back bird is Baird's.

I would call both birds Baird's as well. Note the structure of the birds, size as well (WRSA are slightly larger and both birds are right next to one another). The size and shape of the bills is important here, and also points solidly to BASA (thin, straight bill, lacking thick base, zero decurvature). The patterning on the scaps is BASA too.
