Rare? I’d chase any warbler through that if I knew it was there and that I would be able to get a good look at it!

Anyone would chase rarities. You might be a birder if you'd chase a House Spartow just to get pictures of it. 2

The House Sparrows I see are really uncooperative for photos! I usually just give up since I have other birds to see.

A House Sparrow cost me good shots of a Pyrrhuloxia because I wasn't sure what the former was and wasted time identifying it. I have some beautiful shots of a bird I didn't recognize on my first trip to MA. The cooperative bird sat there for ten minutes while I photographed it from all angles. Seeing the bird in a parking lot should have been my first clue. Female HOSP.

Spyonabird
A few years ago I visited Switzerland. First bird I see outside the airport? ... House Sparrow. At least it was a native bird.
Kevin
You may be a birder when you are trying to figure out why one of your fingers and a spot of your arm are swollen, sore and itching, only to remember it was bee stings from this morning. Mean while though, you can remember perfectly all the details necessary so submit a short checklist from the day before. https://ebird.org/checklist/S140383980 2

Zoroark
You might be a birder if you return from vacation, and one of the first things you do is clean and refill your feeders.
