Corey
Today in southern Nevada. Sorry I don't have more photos. This was the only gull in the whole area and I blew it off as a a ring-billed until looking at photos later. Thanks!
IKLland
I’ll just throw out my thoughts. It’s got yellow legs, but it’s obviously not a Kelp, Lesser-black Backed, or Yellow-footed Gulls, so it should be California, Ring-billed, or Short-billed. The absence of a ring on the bill might be because of the angle/lighting, but I honestly am having a difficult time seeing this as a normal Ring-billed. I say normal because I’m not sure if there are a few RBGUs that don’t have the ring on the bill. I’m having a hard time seeing it as a California, but I may very well be proven wrong. I can’t quite tell the eye color from my phone and from the lighting in the photos. A distant possibility is Short-billed, but I know that would be a pretty big rarity there. Additional photos(any other photos!) would really help in this situation. I’m not an expert, so I’d love to see what @Aidan B @Connor Cochrane @AlexHenry and @DLecy have to say.
Corey
When I got home and looked thru photos, I said... that''s not a RB, it's a short-billed! I should've taken more photos! 🙂 For whatever reason, this marina between Nevada and Arizona has been a hotspot where a SB has been seen many times in the past.

Personally, I wouldn’t call it a Short-billed without other photos.
PaulK
I'm not the expert you need here but I can't see that as anything but short-billed.

The bill itself is too dainty for a Ringer.

Aidan B
This is absolutely a Short-billed. There's no way this bird could be anything else.
