Are enough features present in these bad angles for an ID?

It may be one of the birds I earlier posted about.  The problem is that some birds were circling around a building, and I'm not certain whether I saw the same ones on the way back.  Taken this morning in Boynton beach, Florida:

Looks like a tern...Royal/Caspian?

Pretty sure it's a Royal Tern given location and GISS.

This confuses me.  Caspian is out of place in S. FL in winter?

PS... I'm not saying it is a Caspian.  Just don't understand eliminating it based on range...

Caspian Terns are indeed common this time of year in South Florida.  It's just that I'm very familiar with the area that I photographed it in, and I've never seen one here, only Royal Terns.
