PaulK
Some gadwall yesterday brought me to 65 for the year, which is more than double what I'd usually have at this point.
chipperatl
44, with only 10 of them not in my yard. Have only left the yard once since 1/2, and that was to take dog to his favorite place to walk. Back-to-back BIG years, and crazy work hours that are not working in my favor like they did last year.
Birds are cool
111 with a Brown Creeper and a Common Yellow throat. Beating last year's pace by 30 species!
Connor Cochrane
Up to 202 in county now after grabbing a couple tough continuing rarities today (Eastern Phoebe, Lewis's Woodpecker), and some high elevation winterer (Red-breasted Nuthatch, Townsend's Solitaire).
chipperatl
White-crowned Sparrow showed up under the feeder, during the times it wasn't being buzzed by 2 Sharpies and Coop. The Coop was only 15 minutes before the 2nd Sharpie took its shot.
Birds are cool
Still at 111. Beat my old record for the month by 21 species! 116 complete checklists this month, and 233 checklists total! Did not get to 250 like I wanted, but still a lot of checklists.
IKLland
I’m at 199! And 150 for the county! If only I got one more species, I would’ve gotten to 200 before February…but that didn’t happen. Edited February 1 by IKLland
Zoroark
I'm ending my January at 121. I did leave the county, but I saw nothing that I didn't have back home. The most surprising birds that I haven't gotten yet: Osprey Vermilion Flycatcher Green Heron Bewick's Wren Virginia Rail ...mostly because I've had many opportunities to see these birds but didn't, while others did.
PaulK
Finished January with 66 species, almost double last year's total. Top 100 for the region starts at 67, top of the list is the reviewer with 150.
Peromyscus
I finished January with 81 species, 7 more than last year and easily the best January since I was in the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas in January 2010 (when I had 82 species in a single day).

Snake Fingers
9 hours ago, Zoroark said: Love the location name. 😄 LOL 😆. I was gonna just have the street and cords, but then I saw: “Enter a unique name that describes your location.”(paraphrasing) I thought ooooh that one small canyon place thingy is just a few meters east. Hence the name. 😄 1

Peromyscus
On my second attempt today, I saw the continuing Ross's Goose, and yesterday's White-winged Scoter. On my/our first attempt, this morning, we missed the scoter by 10 or 15 minutes or so. I went back by myself after lunch and was successful. Plus I saw Lesser Scaup. I missed all three of these species last year. I am now up to 84 species for the year.
