Seanbirds
Here's a bird from my recent trip to Montana that I just couldn't put a finger on the ID, for some reason. I'm sure it's probably obvious but my brain just isn't working today. Somewhere out in the middle of WY, December 17 Apologies in advance for the horrendous photo. Birds are cool
Harrier would be my guess.
The Bird Nuts
The head seems too dark and small for a harrier. Looks like a Peregrine Falcon to me. Edited January 1 by The Bird Nuts
Seanbirds
You know what-- that kinda makes sense... But a Peregrine up there in wintertime?

But I still can't get over how big it looked/looks. That is a large bird.
IKLland
I can’t see this as anything other than a hawk…Ferruginous?

Peregrine was my original thought as well, but between it being rare and barriers almost looking like that, I figured it would just be a harrier. Though it does look a lot like a Peregrine.

MWM
Just to add my 2 cents, I think it looks too white on the breast & bulky for either Peregrine or Harrier. I think it's a Buteo (Red-tailed or Ferruginous?).
Clip
Ferruginous for sure. Saw them frequently in Colorado. Florida Doesn't get them so I miss them. Edited January 23 by Clip 3
