Jealous!! It went down to -11F last night. 8F right now.

+8F was the lowest wind chill temperature I measured this morning with my Kestrel weather meter. The morning low near my house was 14F. It made it all the way up to 31F, which is about 15F lower than today's average high. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 50F though!

72F here, looking for 76F tomorrow and 80F Thursday.  My apologies to y'all in the upper Midwest freezing your suet off.  Let us know how that two feet of snow works out for you. :classic_tongue:

Finally! Weather I can get behind! A little warm but I’d make do. Also: How fare ye @Quiscalus quiscula?!

There's a chance it could snow here on Thursday or Friday. Precipitation is coming and it's supposed to drop down to 27 degrees. There hasn't been a big snow day on the mountains since I moved here in 2013, I've only seen one light dusting that melted in an hour. Hoping we get an inch or so on the mountain.

It's supposed to snow in San Dimas and Glendora(and the surrounding areas). They're in the eastern portion of Los Angeles County, at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Now that's funny, not haha funny, but weird kind of funny because I had never heard of the second definition until you posted it. 🤪

See also 'dotty', 'loopy', and 'whackadoodle'.  No one here has enough money to be considered 'eccentric'.

Portland got over 9 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. This is the most snow I can ever remember having here. Most of the weather stations said we weren’t gonna get more than 2 inches so everyone got screwed, including my mom who was stuck behind a sideways bus on the freeway for 10 hours.

I hope she is ok! Ten hours is a long time to be stuck in your car in snowy weather.

The mountains of Los Angeles County are (or were when I last checked at mid-morning Maryland time) under a Blizzard Warning!! That's not something I ever would have thought possible.

The Los Angeles mountains do typically have snow on them during the winter, they get above 10,000 feet.

Local here we had a small patch of snow on the local mountain (it's only 2600 feet or so). It was certainly cold enough to snow last night but the precipitation didn't arrive till this morning. It's expected to rain all night tonight so it will be interesting to see if the snow actually comes.
