Birds are cool
There are Audubon Camps in most of the states, but I am going to go to an Audubon camp on Hog Island. There are lots of lifers to be had there, and we will go on an active nesting island. It costs $1800 to sign up. Scholarships are available. I was going to try to go this year, but 3 days after registration opened they were out of tickets. My parents said that I would have to pay the $1800, so I am starting to save up now. If anybody else is interested in going the links to the camps are down below. Quiscalus quiscula
I've heard about Hog Island from somebody in my bird club who was a counseler there, but there's no way I'll be able to go with that price.

Could you try making some money or see if your parents will loan you the money? If I can't make all the money my parents said they will loan me the money and I can pay it off later. And I'm not sure how I would make or pay off money.
Connor Cochrane
Multiple local Audubon groups or other birding non-profits in our area have awarded scholarships to young birders for attending ABA/other bird camps. If price is a limiting factor I would try exploring for opportunities like that in your area. Quiscalus quiscula
Unfortunately, there isn't anything like that here because the birding community here is very small, and young birders are almost nonexistent.

Same for me. There are only 3 other birders that live in this county, one who is in college right now, another who is the mayor of the town and can't go birding often, and another who goes birding a couple times a week. https://hogisland.audubon.org/programs/scholarships
