MWM
If you can't tell which one I'm referring to, it probably isn't a Ross's. 🙂
Birds are cool
Yep. Shorter neck, overall smaller bird. Stouter bill.

chipperatl
Isn't that a grin patch, assuming we are talking center bird.
Quiscalus quiscula
I wouldn't call it a pure Ross's.

Birds are cool
It could be the shadow. @MWM, can I try to edit this photo? 5 minutes ago, chipperatl said: Isn't that a grin patch, assuming we are talking center bird. 3 minutes ago, Quiscalus quiscula said: I wouldn't call it a pure Ross's. MWM
Here's a heavily cropped pic, bill is more like a snow goose. Thinking ross x snow hybrid or Lesser Snow Goose?
Birds are cool
I agree with hybrid.

Avery
I wouldn’t call this bird a hybrid. Reading through this article and comparing to the chart is helpful https://www.sibleyguides.com/2011/12/identification-of-white-geese/ The head shape isn’t really that round, lacking the “cute” look of a Ross’s. The grin patch is quite large. The bill isn’t tiny (the article talks about bill length compared to neck thickness, but I’m having a hard time seeing what is described on the Snows in the photos.) and the bird does look small. To call this bird a hybrid I think we would need better images of the bill, and multiple angles of the head. blackburnian
No reason that isn’t a Snow Goose
IKLland
I agree, we definitely can’t rule out pure Snow Goose. However, if the OP still is convinced, there’s zero harm it leaving it as a slash.
Monkeylenz
I think this is probably a snow goose and just because something looks a little off doesn't necessarily mean it's a hybrid. But maybe it is but I would say a snow goose.
