Birds are cool
Looks like a Sage Thrasher IMO. Don't take my word for it though.

gpoole
Kinda looks like a flycatcher to me. Maybe an Eastern Phoebe? (in my opinion) I am not an expert.

Birds are cool
I am on the computer now, and I still think it looks like a thrasher/mockingbird type. Sage Thrasher would be my first guess.

IKLland
This looks fine for a Northern Mockingbird.
TexasCobra
See if this pic helps. Compare the size of the subject bird with that of the Woodhouse's Scrub-jay which I believe is roughly the same size as a Mockingbird. I also think the subject bird has a shorter tail than the thrasher or mockingbird. My guess is that the subject bird is an Eastern Phoebe. IKLland
Doesn’t strike me as a flycatcher.
Quiscalus quiscula
It is a Northern Mockingbird. It has a faint eyeline and you can barely see the wing patch.

The bill appears short because the image is out of focus. What do you think it is then?
