Ves
This was heard in Southcentral Kansas earlier today. We could not spot the bird but only heard him sing in this tune. He repeated this song a few times then went silent. The habitat was a brushy area by a stream with lots of thickets and trees near the road. The person I was birding with seemed pretty confident that this was an Eastern Towhee call but not 100%, and as this would be a lifer for me I thought I would ask here for confirmation. Thanks in advance!
