Avery
Any other photos? I’m thinking Golden Eagle or young Bald Edited February 16 by Avery

Snake Fingers
Well this can’t be identified to my knowledge. There’s probably some way it can be IDed, I’d say Eagle sp.
PaulK
For whatever reason this looks vulture-ish to me, I don't know if that's likely at this time of year or not though.
Peromyscus
Golden Eagle is extremely rare in the immediate DC area including Mason Neck. My money is on young Bald Eagle

Snake Fingers
I’m honestly really confused about this.
Birds are cool
First thought was Golden Eagle, but like @Peromyscus said they are very rare. What about imm. Turkey Vulture? Edited February 17 by Birds are cool
Aidan B
I think it's a young Bald Eagle. I think I see a big yellow bill and some white on the underside of the wing. Edited February 17 by Aidan B
Quiscalus quiscula
I think I was looking at this the wrong way, I agree with Bald Eagle. 1
Kevin
Y'all are welcome to discuss which eagle it is till your hearts are content, but if that's a Vulture bring it to me and I'll eat it. 2

Birds are cool
I see the white on the underside of the wing, not sure if I see the bill. Agree with imm. Bald Eagle though.

PaulK
I just can't make this into an eagle with that tail, and I don't see an eagle head or beak anywhere. But really no idea. Eating vultures is highly contraindicated though. Edited February 17 by PaulK

IKLland
@DaBirbdo you mind if I edit the photo? I think I can really improve it to the point where we might be able to ID it.
Avery
Wasn’t sure on the possibility of GOEA in your area, but looking again now it’s much easier to see the big yellow/gray bill and whitish marks underneath of a BAEA when you zoom out. I was zooming in too much when I was first looking. @Charlie Spencer the yellow wedge on the head of the bird (looking left) is the base of the bill. I think the bill just gets a littler darker towards the tip. Edited February 17 by Avery 6
