Taken December 21 in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island of British Columbia. The habitat was a beachfront park known as Neck Point. A friend sent these gulls to me unsure of what they were, she said in the field they looked darkly grey-hooded. She also said the individual in the first two closer-up photos could be the same one as in the further-away photos but wasn't totally sure.

Oh that's really interesting! She was actually thinking that they might be a hybrid. Hopefully some others might weigh in as well. Thank you so much for your reply.
