Raptor Identification Assist-Gainesville, Florida

Recommended Posts

This morning, after I had photographed a Red-shouldered hawk at the NATL on the UF campus, I spotted what I thought was another RSH high up in a dead pine tree and took a couple of quick photos. I should have looked closer as it appears to be something else.

Would someone please take a look at these two marginal photos and tell me if this is an immature Cooper's Hawk or maybe a Sharp-shinned hawk?

Thanks for any assistance.
