HamRHead
Warbling is a bit rare for GA but I was fortunate almost a year ago--Dec 9--to find a lovely specimen. It posed front, back and sideways and even caught and ate a spider-looking critter. My first and only.

Aaron
One of my photo nemesis birds..... This stunner is one of only 2 I’ve actually seen and this is my only photo which is currently sitting at a 2 star rating on eBird. I can hear multiple of them every day in the summer, but never get to see them.... they mock me. Maybe next year I’ll get a better photo, though I like them better than Cassins vireos who I’ve never actually seen, just heard. I don’t know how you guys got yours to come down so close. The ones near me prefer to be 50 feet up in the cedar trees... Maybe I should have saved this for “Your worst photo of a bird species”

The Bird Nuts
@Aaron I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been struggling to a get a decent photo of a Warbling Vireo! You're right, it is like they're mocking the birders below when they're singing constantly waaaay up in a tree among the leaves. They actually sing on their nests, so sometimes they never move!

Spyonabird
We have a pair nesting every year along our local greenway. They like to hide whenever I am there. This is the best I could do. From 2016

But yes, as you get more experienced with bird songs, it sticks out more and more.

I believe it's the first vireo song I learned.
