But, after it being brought to my attention you can see that the white spots are not as bold on the hybrid as on a Spotted. There are also fewer white spots on the hybrid than on a Spotted. Additionally, the Eastern Towhee has a bold white notch at the base of the folded in wings near the chest above the legs, that the Spotted doesn't have.
