Birds are cool
https://ebird.org/tripreport/115075 Going pretty well so far. Went for a morning run and saw several species. Going to try to photograph some shorebirds now!

Charlie Spencer
If you're that close, you MUST go to Huntington Beach SP!!! Top site on the SC coast. Don't get distracted on the way; you'll want to spend as much time there as possible! https://southcarolinaparks.com/huntington-beach Edited March 23 by Charlie Spencer

I am coming back up here in early April, and we will probably visit Huntington Beach.

Zoroark
Hey, how was Folly Beach? Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve at the end of the road is great for shorebirds.

Way back in 2005. There was a push of them way to the south, and they were being seen from shore. When I learned of their occurence there, I went from disinterest in my mother's planned trip to the state from the DC area to, "can I drive you down there?" 😇 2

It was good. I photographed Sanderlings and saw Piping Plovers and Willets. The sun was overhead so it was hard to photograph the birds. (Also my family that I was with did not want to stop and wait for me to photograph the birds.) e walked about 1 mile one way.
