Zoroark
I woke up to the sound of a semi truck's horn at 3:50 AM and went onto the patio to enjoy a duet of Barred Owls this morning. While doing some errands in Bamberg, we saw some FOY Chimney Swifts.
Zoroark
I headed over to Phinizy Swamp and met up with @Charlie Spencer and several others from Augusta-Aiken Audubon for a bird walk. Nothing new for the year, but it was a productive morning with a good variety of birds, including six Painted Buntings. I'm now waiting at the airport to head home. Trip stats: 129 species observed 5 lifers 48 firsts of the year 61 checklists submitted 9 counties in 2 states birded
Zoroark
Ah, I forgot to also mention the Broad-winged Hawk at Phinizy, which isn't terribly common, and was a lifer for @Charlie Spencer.
Charlie Spencer
Here's the shared checklist from today's walk. At the moment it's 57 species for six birders. I'm going to add the American Crow I heard in the lot on the way out. @Zoroark, also on the way out, there were three Mallards in water across from the Phinizy entrance, in a deep temporary puddle inside the airport fence. I wonder if the ducks we saw fly over were Mallards instead of Wood Ducks? It was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope to see you again the next time you're back here! I don’t see a checklist.
Charlie Spencer
https://ebird.org/checklist/S133874502 Cut me some slack. I came home and added 22-species list from my back deck. Anything over 15 there is darn good.

I wonder if the ducks we saw fly over were Mallards instead of Wood Ducks? Could be. That's the only species on the checklist that I didn't personally observe. I took it off mine and replaced it with "duck sp." I also had a mockingbird greet me in the tree in my front yard with its loud song when I got home at 10:35 PDT last night. Edited April 16 by Zoroark There were plenty of individuals I didn't observe, but I did observe at least one of every species except the Wood Duck.

Zoroark
Ah, I'll throw a Barn on my list as well. Nearly everything I saw and heard was Tree, with at least two NRWS. I noticed you replaced all 7 Tree with Barn on your list. Edited April 16 by Zoroark

I could ID the NRWS visually and had the photos of the Barns.
