I found one more picture I snapped in Ypres, Belgium in March 2023. Not sure if this is a Bittern or Heron. Maybe someone else can use their expertise to identify? Cloudy day. Not the best picture.

Agree. The legs are too long for Great Bittern, and blown up on my laptop the underparts appear gray rather than brown. Bitterns are shy marsh dwellers that rarely fly as high as Grey/Gray Herons, and (based on eBird reports) are unlikely to be found near Yrpes.
