Twitchly
Looking at iBird Pro v.12, build 227, I no longer see a way to search for birds by month. So even though it’s December, my searches now include birds that are only seen in my area during the summer. How do I search by month in this version? Avery
I don’t have any experience with iBird, and I don’t think many people on this forum do. I would suggest using eBird to search what birds are in your area for any time of year, using the bar charts.

Avery
If you use the explore regions option on eBirds Explore page, you can search up what birds are in your area, and then either specify a time frame or use the bar charts for all species year round in that region. JP48
I have zero interest in starting an argument here, so please realize that this post is not for that purpose. I realize that many here (most?) prefer their tried and true field guides. However, I wish to state that for me, I like iBird. It does everything I want, goes beyond what I can get with any of the several paper guides that I own, and is easier to fit into my pocket when I want something with me in the field. It's never occurred to me to want to use it to view anything by time of year, so I can't address the topic at hand, and I suppose that could be viewed as a failing of the app. In general, though, it's kudos from me for the authors and purveyors of iBird.
