Mark F
A large flock of birds kept up a constant banter around our ship throughout the night last night. It was way too dark and they weren’t close enough to see clearly, but they appeared to be white-ish. I recorded them (Dropbox link attached) in the hope that someone could ID 2023-04-10 2312.wav . Merlin identifies them as Royal Terns. Sure enough, I see there is a year-round population along the California coast south of Los Angeles where we are. Please have a listen and let me know if you concur. Thanks! 2023-04-10 2312.wav https://www.dropbox.com/s/3dte0njqzue7y9j/Night birds.m4a?dl=
Mark F
Here‘s an audio file (.wav) as an attachment in case people are reluctant to follow a link. This was recorded the day after the one linked above. 2023-04-11 2152.wav
