sbruenjes Posted April 22 Share Posted April 22 I saw this bird last week in Round Rock, Texas , near Austin. I had a very similar bird identified as Couch's. Jim Highberger Posted April 23 Share Posted April 23 Yes - one differentiating feature when compared to the Western Kingbird is that the yellow breast coloring comes up and over the throat area on the Couch's while the Western has a grayish throat and upper breast area.
