sbruenjes
I saw this bird today at DeKorte Park at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. I'm thinking blackpoll, but any help would be greatly appreciated
Avery
Hm. Odd bird, but I think it’s a Cape May 1

It’s like an intersex Blackpoll warbler, or maybe a CMWA x BLPW, or just a really weird Cape May. It’s getting late so im gonna sleep on it.

RobinHood
Agree with Blackpoll - bold wing bars and typical black marking on throat, although the streaking on the flanks is quite blobby, immature bird perhaps. 1
