Help With Hummers Of Costa Rica

Recommended Posts

Well, if I saw that last one (#7) here I'd call it a Violet Sabrewing, especially if Monte Verde isn't a misnomer and you were at a fairly high elevation in a cloud forest environment, and #3 gives me a Mango vibe. But I have enough trouble with Guatemalan hummers, and not familiar with the Costa Rican ones!

#1,2 - I believe both Green-crowned Brilliant

#3 - Doesn't look like a Mango to me.  Not sure the photo is good enough to ID with confidence, but it may be a Stripe-tailed Hummingbird

#4 - Stripe-tailed Hummingbird

#5 - Green-crowned Brilliant and Stripe-tailed Hummingbird

#6 - Green-crowned Brilliant

#7 - Undoubtedly a Violet Sabrewing
