IKLland
So..I have a pair of Hooded Orioles in my yard. They came today and I’m seeing three other orioles with them-presumably the fledglings. There’s one bird that appears to be a female but has a black throat-I know this is an “immature male”. But is this bird one of their fledglings, or is it a year old already? Thanks!

That bird would be already a year old, as birds in that plumage are considered second-year males.

My reviewer just texted me back-he said that exact thing!
