MichaelLong
In the chorus I was able to identify AMRO OSFL Stellers Jay DEJU and SOSP, there are numerous other chips and chirps in this recording that I was unable to identify as well as a higher pitched squeaky robin like song. (Sings throughout noticeably higher on the spectrograph than the robins) the owl can can be heard at 4 seconds. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/577803341 ps : @Connor Cochrane do you know what field marks identify the samuelensis subspecies of Song Sparrow? MichaelLong
Anyone have any ideas about the hoots? @Connor Cochrane @DLecy
Connor Cochrane
Hard to tell since we only have part of one song in the recording but seems to be the right cadence and tone for Spotted Owl, they're pretty common in Samuel P. Taylor as well.
Aidan B
I'd probably agree with Spotted Owl, hard to tell for sure though. The birds you are talking about that are robin-like but higher on the spectrograph are at least two Pacific-slope Flycatchers singing.
