Heard this morning in Michigan's northern lower peninsula. I thought it had a slight Orchard Oriole quality to it, but those are rather uncommon/rare this far north. Unfortunately it moved deeper into private property after I got this recording. ML584701661 blackbird sp. Macaulay Library It calls 3 times in this recording, with the clearest at the end. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

All oriole songs sound the same to me😂

Same kinda 😂 Doesn’t help that outside of migration I see maybe 1-2 a summer. They really aren’t that common, doesn’t help that I can’t seem to recognize their song.

We've had an immature male show up this Spring and last at a location I visit often. The Orchard stays in a fairly tight area in the middle of Baltimore nesting territory.

Merlin Sound has been 100% accurate separating the two species.
