Mark5
birdnet_mobile_2340026484_recording_6907.wav Near the town of Ely on 6/15. Was near water high in the trees I think. Birdnet is giving me White-throated Kingfisher which is a tad out of range. Any ideas? Drone? The snap at the beginning is me stepping on a stick I think. chipperatl
Is there more, or just that one call/song? I thought squirrel at first, but that last bit...
chipperatl
That first part does sound similar to a White-throated Kingfisher, but comparing spectrograms yours is a little bit higher. That last note has me wondering if maybe White-eyed Vireo doing something weird?
Mark5
Just the one call/song. I only heard it a few times and it is the only recording I obtained. White-eyed Vireo would quite a find in Ely but there are some older records nearby for WEVI.
Avery
That last call note is definitely a Vireo, probably Blue-headed or Red-eyed, not sure about the other call. Maybe a Flicker?
