The bird in the second photo looks like a male House Finch; I see red on its head and rump. It looks like it might have House Finch Eye Disease, but maybe it's just the angle. I noticed the pinkish/reddish tinge also but I thought it was an artifact of the lighting, since several of the twigs around the bird have that tinge also.
