No idea what this bird is, in the field I glanced over it thinking it was a yellowlegs but after looking back at pics I am not so sure. I probably was similar in size with a lesser yellowlegs due to the fact that I thought it was one in the field but that may vary.

Anybody else think this? This would be only the fourth county record of this if it turns out to be a Baird's. Just curious, what would rule out a White-rumped? I got more pics if you guys need them.

I agree with Baird’s. It’s definitely a White-rumped/Baird’s due to the long wings, and the buffy face lacking a strong eyeline and those scalloped scapulars scream Baird’s to me. I have limited experience with them, but if I saw this bird that’s what I would call it!

I'd love to see more photos (but just because I love seeing photos of rare birds)

This is absolutely a Baird's! I've seen several within the last week, and this bird looks perfect. That elongated shape, overall buffy color above, the scaly back, and entirely dark bill.

Nice bird!

Here is another pic. It is a bummer the pictures didn't turn out very well... I am still trying to figure out my camera and the bird was between me and the sun which didn't help. Thanks everyone for the help!
