Gry
I was at the Montrose Beach Bird Sanctuary in northern Chicago today, and I'm wondering if I spotted piping plovers there or if they are some other type of plover. The coloring seemed a bit dark to me, but I wasn't sure what other type of plover they might be.

Mark5
All the Piping Plover's are gone from Montrose I think. Also, All the Chicago area bird chatter has migrated to a very active private Discord server. If you are interested send me an email and I will send you an invite.

I'm actually from Green Bay, WI, so I'm not in Chicago all too often, but thanks for the offer.
