sbruenjes
I saw these birds this past weekend at Sandy Hook, NJ. They look like semipalmated sandpipers, but they acted like sanderlings, so I believe they are sanderlings. But I'm not sure because I would have expected a paler coloration... Are they all sanderlings? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
AlexHenry
Sanderlings. They have several different plumages throughout their life (juvenile, basic, alternate) 4
