Tim Emmerzaal
Currently on a road trip from Orlando to Boston, so will have a few posts throughout the East Coast. Saw this one and I thought it was a dark-eyed junco since it showed quite distinct flaring of the white outer tailfeathers when landing, but eBird told me to specifically check since this was a rare sighting at this spot.. Seen in the Shenandoah state park Aug 28. These are two different birds
Ruslan Balagansky
Sure looks like a Junco to me, but you should probably wait for others to confirm. Nice pics!

chipperatl
Shenandoah River State Park? They have no records in August or September of Junco, but around that area. Shenandoah NP does show them year round.
