gpoole
I just returned from a hike in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I would like a little help before I report. Pics #1 & #2 are the same bird and I think Philadelphia Vireo or Warbling. Either would be a first for me. Pics #3, #4, and #5 are the same bird. There is such a yellow/green wash over the bird from the foliage, I'm confused. I don't expect an ID from pic #6, but you folks on this site always surprise me. Thanks for taking a look. IKLland
Photos 3-6 are a Tennessee Warbler. First two photos look like Philadelphia Vireo to me. Edited September 2 by IKLland 5

Aidan B
I'm actually not 100% sure on the Vireo. I'm worried that the light is reflecting weirdly onto the bird and it's actually not as yellow as it appears. I've only seen one PHVI though. I'd like to see one of the members from the Eastern US chime in. 2
IKLland
I shroud add that I’ve never seen a Philadelphia either.
DLecy
The video is a PHVI. Notice how dark the eye line and lores are. 6
RobinHood
Agree with Philadelphia Vireo (yellow wash from throat down with more distinct face markings than Warbling) and Tennessee Warbler. Edited September 2 by RobinHood 1
