TENNESSEE WARBLER??????

Recommended Posts

Thanks! I have spent hours looking for warblers without any success and then I was standing in the garden and there it was, in the blackberries. I was in shock for a moment.

Sat and watched it for some time, I got within 2 feet of it, or rather it got within two feet of me. It was very unconcerned about my presence.

It's very appropriate! It makes the 7th county first from my yard!

I live in the very northeast corner of the county, and this corner area is almost not birded(except for me). The habitat really changes from the rest of the county, which that and the location is what I credit for so many uncommon birds in this county.

Ah, using the yard bird strategy for County birds is an interesting idea. Just stand at the County limits and count birds on the other side for your County. 👍

I was only 12 when I started so birding birding away from home except occasionally was not practical. As a result I heavily birded my yard/road. Even though I can drive now I rarely go anywhere else, unless on a trip camping or something. At this point it's almost as, if not more important to me, to find a new bird for the yard than the county.

Same here!!  I'm a homebody and my yard list is my favorite list.
