Applesauce
Found this past Saturday around 8 AM in a nature sanctuary in Southern Maryland 500 feet from a marshy river and 5 miles from the western side of Chesapeake Bay. I'm mostly interested in the bird in the upper left as its kind of crazy looking with an oversized beak. Merlin has suggested Blue Grosbeak, Summer Tananger, or Red Crossbill and I can kind of see all three. The bird in the lower left looks like a sparrow but it is pretty indistinct. Merlin has proposed a bunch of less common sparrows that have at least a small probably of showing up in the bay at some point. Thanks! Aidan B
Looks like it might be a Indigo Bunting with a bill abnormality.
Avery
It’s got what looks like smudges on the undertail coverts, which points to Blue Grosbeak. Also the size difference with the sparrow/bunting on the lower right.
