"Speaking to her in English"?  I think that's a bit of a stretch.  But our crows make that kind of sound all the time.  I love it when they do it.

I grew up with an old lady who had a pet Raven for decades that could talk like a parrot (easily a half dozen plus easily recognizable words/phrases) so I guess such a thing might be possible.

There’s a “Hello” Crow that is often in the roost at Saint Michael’s NA in Burlington. That group often makes some funky sounds.
