birdgurl Posted January 21, 2019 Share Posted January 21, 2019 I think this is a Young Bald Eagle or a Golden Eagle Golden was reported a few days ago so I may be hoping too much. My photos aren't the best but I thought someone may know something about its shape. Bee_ keeper Posted January 21, 2019 Share Posted January 21, 2019 (edited) Assuming it's not a lighting or photo issue, those significant white armpits (or wingpits, I guess ) would indicate young Bald Eagle. Young Goldens would have the white patches only at the base of the primaries; adults none at all.
