The Bird Nuts Posted February 17, 2019 Share Posted February 17, 2019 (edited) I see a Buteo shape with wide black and thin white tail bands, contrasting barring on the flight feathers, thin translucent patches near the wingtips, orangey leading edge on top of the wings, and no dark patagial marks, so I'd go with Red-shouldered Hawk. RustyE Posted February 17, 2019 Share Posted February 17, 2019 In soaring and based on the spot coloring on the wings, it makes me thing Red-shouldered. A red-tailed would have more of a "U" shape when gliding. In the first picture (top left) it shows a bowed look which also makes me think Red-shouldered.
