Our family has rescued several starlings in the past.

we picked this lad up about 6 weeks ago as a baby. I’m thinking grackle but possibly crow? I’m in Ontario Canada so grackle is more likely.

Why did you need to rescue this bird? Juvenile birds are just fine (and in fact better off) on their own almost 100% of the time, even if they appear to be "abandoned".

I understand your concern. I’ve been rescuing birds for over 15 years and know when to intervene.

he is a fledgling now, he was a few weeks old when he was located
