millipede Posted March 11, 2019 Share Posted March 11, 2019 agreed. My first few years of birding, those females would throw me off when I came across them. I think if they're posed in a weird enough position they still do for a moment. A simple change in body position can change the shape you see and make them look a lot more sparrow-like.
