I recently spent quite a number of hours waiting for the Calliope Hummingbird at Bentson State Park, in Mission Texas that had been recently seen.  Then a call came the bird was spotted in a bush in the area.  I shot some photo's of that bird, but am not convinced it was actually a Calliope,  The bird was very small, about 1/2 the size of a Buff-bellied or Black-chinned Hummer.  ID help please.

I will bump this and throw in my guide-book based opinion.

When I read description for Calliope and look at the diagrams the wings are supposed to extend past the tail which does not appear to be the case in the 1st and 2nd photo.  There should be white visible between the eye and the base of the bill and I do not see this in the 3rd photo. The bill does look about the right length but it is not a clear ID for calliope for me.
