Ken Nielsen
I do not have an identification on these but saw today, March 31, near the Columbia River in Portland, Oregon. May be a female and male of same kind. Can you identify?
IvoryBillHope
Ring-necked Ducks.
The Bird Nuts
Yep, female and male Ring-necked Ducks. I really think the common name should be changed to Ring-billed Duck because the white ring around the bill is a much more useful and noticeable field mark than the barely visible ring around the neck! Viurre
I keep mentally calling them Ring-billed Ducks myself. I always have to correct myself.
