Help with Shore Bird ID's

Recommended Posts

I was in Abilene, Texas earlier this week and found several shore birds and ducks feeding at the dam/spillway there. I rarely see shorebirds and am still blowful at ID'ing them, even after staring at field guides. These may be only two birds. Thank you!

1, 3, and 4 are Greater Yellowlegs.  2 is another Yellowlegs, and I'm thinking Lesser, but I'm not sure.

I'd agree with that. The bill looks too short for greater on the second one.
Have any more pictures of the stilt? just for fun...  I've only seen one once but they're fascinating to look at. :)

Yes--I took several. This was only the second time I've seen them, the other time being in Austin, Texas last week. They are pretty sharp.

I thought that was what that was in the upper right of photo #2.  Thanks for the confirmation.
