The only thing I can come up with is it is a Red-Tailed Hawk because of its sheer size, but it does not look like any RTH I've ever seen (I'm from East Texas). Could it be a subspecies I'm just not familiar with? Actually larger than any RTH I've seen and its neck looks so long! (Sorry for the poor quality of the images, I took this from a highway roadside after pulling a U-ie and pulling out my camera to capture this a couple of seconds before it flew off.
