Interesting, thanks. Looking at their range they don't come as far north as Nevada.

There are a handful of records, but this is still a significant find for the area. Was this recent? If you are comfortable sharing this sighting publicly, don't hesitate to report it on eBird.

Just curious - is it the long legs which discounts a dark morph Broad-winged Hawk (both very dark with a single white tail band and I don't think size has been mentioned)).

The Broad-winged seems to be slightly less rare at this location.
